EB5 Program

USCIS administers the EB-5 Program. Under this program, investors (and their spouses and unmarried children under 21) are eligible to apply for lawful permanent residence (become a Green Card holder) through approving regional center.

An EB-5 regional center is an economic unit, public or private, in the United States, involved with promoting economic growth. We designate regional centers for participation in the Immigrant Investor Program.

Regional centers administer EB-5 projects. It may be more advantageous for an investor to invest in a regional center-run project because the investor will not have to independently set up the EB-5 projects.

There are two types of Reginal Centers-Rural and Urban TEA area Reginal Centers TEAs are areas that, at the time of investment, are located in a Rural Area or A High Unemployment Area. A Rural Area is any area not within either a Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA), as designated by the Office of Management and Budget, or the outer boundary of any city having a population of 20,000 or more.
